As Kuhn himself put it (paraphrasing) I wrote Structure as an exercise in using the history of science in order to answer a philosophical question. His impact on historians has been tremendous, but his impact on philosophers less so. I wonder why that is.

Has the reaction among academics been one of increased mutual collaboration between historians and philosophers, or not?

Sorry, I voted to close since this is a philosophy question and only tenuously related to history. – Sardathrion Oct 26 '11 at 12:21
Bad closure. This is a clear historiography question. – Samuel Russell May 28 '12 at 22:30
