History Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for historians and history buffs. It's 100% free, no registration required.

In order to better develop my current researching skills, I have devised a plan to do a historic investigation; however, I am indecisive on which topic to choose. I will be writing a 2000 word investigation and analysis to this topic, and topics come in forms such as:

*How did Churchill's design of Iraq at the 1921 Cairo Conference affect the overall stability of the Mesopotamian region?

*How has the implementation of the One-Child Policy of China limit the reproductive rights of its citizens?

And etc...

These topics should be specific, but not too specific. Also, I want a topic that has a reasonable amount of sources that I could refer to.

Thanks in advance!
