I am in the midst of writing a tabletop roleplaying product set during the First English Civil War during the spring of 1643 in the west of England (Oxford, Bristol, Gloucester, Salisbury) What obvious pitfalls should I avoid? And what highlights I should definitely include. I done a lot of research but I am not a trained historian so I want to avoid any obvious mistakes or fail to omit anything important.

Welcome to History SE. I am going to have to close your question for a number of reasons. First, your question is way too broad to be answered with a single question. We need it to be more specific and targetting one topic. Second, this type of question is likely to cause considerable discussion or debate, which is a violation of our guidelines. SE sites are not intended as discussion forums, but rather as direct question and answers. If you would like to reword it, we will consider reopening. In the meantime, please consult the FAQ for more details. – Steven Drennon Jan 4 at 18:01
