comment How historically accurate is Les Miserables?
@TomAu I'm more "fishing" for discrepancies than anything... mostly curious. I actually would have checked for differences between the novel and the movie/plays, but I'm still reading the novel and it's quite thick. I fear it will be quite some time before I finish. I'm just wondering if the community here knows anything about the topic.

Welcome to History.SE! This might belong in the politics stackexchange, not history.

Welcome to History.SE! Are you asking for when a metal mesh was first used or when it was first used as a platform?

Welcome to History.SE! This is a pretty good question, and it looks well researched. Sadly, I don't know the answer to it.

I think the Kingdom of Benin would also count as a kingdom more in the center of Africa.

comment Egyptian Ushabti and their uniquness
@Daniel Palamarchuk I'm not exactly sure that it was the uniqueness of the Ushabti that made them useful, and more that it would help people out in the afterlife. The inherent assumption that people wanted Ushabti for their uniqueness is probably incorrect.
