comment Was Swedish king Charles X Gustav's horse killed during Siege of Kraków (1655)?
Now that I find truly amazing. Great piece of work you did on finding and providing these informations even after a year since the question was asked, you've got my big respect for that, even if the overall conclusion is that the story cited in question is most probably impossible to verify. Thanks!

@NewAlexandria which exact advice you mean? The first one, saying "the scope is too wide", that lead me to narrow the scope, or the second one, saying "the scope is too narrow", that would lead me to widen it once again?

comment Why didn't France and UK invade Germany September 3rd 1939?
I totally agree with that. There are many historians in Poland who believe that if Poland did anything to stop Germans from taking over Czechoslovakia, things would be much different. But instead of acting, Poland took the opportunity to grab some arguable land too.

I believe they were meant to be hidden under the ribs of the opponent.

comment Why were there no religious wars in Poland?
A very short answer to Felix's question - the vision of Poland as a clearly Catholic country is an early 20th century invention, taking birth with all nationalism movements that were popular among Europe. And it wasn't realized before WWII and ethnic migrations organized by ZSSR and communist government. So it's safe to assume that they just passed away.
