comment What are other obvious samples in history where political/religious leaders try to shape religion to their need
+1. Actually it doesn't have to be the creation of a new religion. It can be a severe interpretation or misinterpretation of religion in favor of the interest of ruling classes.

one good answer. I wonder if all religions are just like that. Made up by people that want to do something like all atheists say.

Basically it's pretty good. However, is Hitler the only leaders that try to manipulate religions like this? Isn't all do? Another topic of the question.

The cause of ALL wars are lack of commercialization and devotion to the one true ideology of free market capitalism.

Yap. And whether it's christians values or not, christians do often kill jews. It's out of envy rather than christianity, but still, they did what they did. +1 for nulluserexception.

And that's how the caste system got developed. The aryan must have thought, well this people are great farmers. Let them farm and let us do what we do best, killing each other.

comment How well can cavalry fight infantry?
+1. But then again. Why bother fighting infantry from the front? Pompey has superior infantry. Why not just use cavalry to harass?

comment Who was the first military force to use teppo (guns) in mass battles during the Sengoku-jidai?
+1 for being making chinese look good :) Some told me it's the manchu rather than the han chinese that used cannon. So it's the jin rather than the southern song that used it against mongol (and still lost). It puzzles me still. Gun dominates europe. But in Asia, chinese with guns are defeated by jin cavalry.

comment Why is Christopher Columbus credited for “discovering” America?
+1 That makes a lot of sense. Those who discover something and tell everyone about it is in a sense discoverer. The rest isn't. Cheng Ho's ancestors should be ashamed.
