It was about protecting the people of Western Belarusian and Western Ukrainian nationality (for propaganda purposes Poland was declared as non-existent and replaced by those semi-countries). |

This is a proper historical question, which can be answered by a historian with the normal use of primary or secondary historical sources. Most other questions around here cannot be answered precisely, but this one has a chance - this is the only difference I see. |

Are these images from Iran-Iraq war authentic? First photo much better version: ejection-history.org.uk/country-by-country/IRAN/… to be more precise it's F-5E. You can try to track it down by its number (2-7-59 ٢-۷-۵۹). And the second photo: Mirage F1 EQ or some subvariant (EQ-2?). Paintwork seems legit for both photos. |

What caused Yugoslavia to switch sides early in World War II? I would emphasize input from non-English written sources provided by such users. Why have wheat and rice been consumed in different forms? Cereals like barley and oats were often consumed boiled; this became less popular after potato appeared. The problem is the hard crust, which needs to be removed first, and the result is kasha. With wheat there is another problem - too much gluten. The boiled whole-seed wheat kasha would be chocking and nearly non-chewable, in my opinion. The actual wheat kasha (farina) is fine-ground and watered down to the point when it becomes edible but loses almost all of the "cereal" taste. Bread requires more work but tastes much better. |

Why Canada failed to emerge as a power like UK or France? A quick glance at population chart shows that there is very little correlation with economical/political power. Israel (97th population in the world) so much below Belarus (87th). Australia (52nd) much below Uzbekistan (42nd). France, a nuclear power (21st), is below Vietnam (13th). |
