I was introduced to the dark arts of VB.NET and somehow that actually made me want to become a programmer. I don't know what I was smoking back there but it must have been some hella dank wacky tobacky for such a filthy language and framework to actually spur on my efforts..
Enough about the past. I am a passionate .NET developer (well everything but VB...), who has delved into Javaland, Oracle-Hell, the Python Swamps & the Ruby Caves (well and a bunch of other stuff here and there). If I could give any prospective developer advice about my 4 years of .NET development, I would tell them to stay away from this madness, your life will be so much happier in another field, maybe medicine or engineering, at least there you can find happiness somewhere, there is only darkness here.
