What was the first supranational organization? @Anixx - your negative, anti-American, leftist antics are driving me away from supporting this site. |

What weapons were manufactured in India by the British forces which were used during world wars? I found this but it doesn't go into the depth of detail you want: ww2total.com/WW2/History/Production/Anglo-Americans/… |

What were the six Mubarak assassination attempts? Mubarak was wounded during Sadat's assassination in 1981. I'm not sure if the Wikipedia article includes this one or not. |

How does the amount of equipment carried by various historical infantries compare? @T.E.D. - Height isn't as important as overall strength when it comes to carrying capacity. Some modern countries have slightly higher average heights (Canada, Netherlands) and some slightly lower (India, Brazil) for military enlistees but their loads carried are the same. |

How does the amount of equipment carried by various historical infantries compare? @quant_dev - That's true. One of the big additions that's making its way into the field are various video/audio/networking links. Yet more stuff to haul around and take care of in the field. They're also working on various exoskeleton systems so that soldiers can carry even more stuff. |

Who is the earliest recorded person? Would you consider cave paintings to be recorded history? The problem is we don't know how to interpret them. Were they instruction manuals for generations of people to refer to, religious writings used by shamans, boys drawing dirty pictures or a combination of these things? |

Why was the US so against Japanese aggression in China but did nothing about Germany in Europe? @quant_dev - There has always been a significant portion of the US population that had a moral indignation about racism and related problems. This was on the increase in the 1930's. The extreme and brutal racial dogma of the Axis regimes increased this trend. |

Which European countries did not have a revolution in the aftermath of the French Revolution and why? @quant_dev - The Glorious Revolution laid the groundwork for another revolution that began in 1776 with a list of rights and liberties that were being violated. |

Why did the US, Britain, France, Denmark and Sweden vote against the UN resolution that condemned Nazism and SS glorification? @Anixx - the key court case is Brandenburg v. Ohio 1969, which held that for political speech to be illegal it had to be an incitement to imminent lawless action. As for the Internal Security Act of 1950, the portion limiting speech was repealed in 1993, mainly as a formality since the Brandenburg case had made that portion unconstitutional anyway. |

Why was the US so against Japanese aggression in China but did nothing about Germany in Europe? @quant_dev - I'm not sure about the "many" part. The German American Bund was relatively small as compared to the more mainstream America First. They also often offended a lot of the general public with their rhetoric. As you noted, some industrialists and companies favored Nazi Germany to some degree, either for ideological reasons (Ford) or simple business opportunities (IBM). |
