There are Mongolic-speaking Muslim and Taoist ethnic groups in China who are descendants of Genghis Khan's soldiers. I guess they were not worth noting in the course. These people are called Bonan, Mongour, Dongxiang, Yugur, Sogwo Arig, Sichuan Mongols, Yunnan Mongols, ...
