Cannabis in ancient Vedic Soma, are there any sound historical proofs? Wikipedia - has a good article for the basic story. There are also several versions of the same story in different south asian countries. Ramayana, Mahabharatha and Vishnu Purana although get to the same story, have different reasons why the event took place in history. |

What was normal attire for Hindu kings in the 15th century? everything you read cannot be true :) do you have any other references for this ? I don't think this is actually true. Sari(or Saree) used to be the "proper" and traditional clothes for women from a long time. Also most of the paintings (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sari) of women from the olden days picture women having a robe wrapped around them! |

Why is Dravidian history ignored? I don't agree when you say Dravidians are completely illiterate. Dravidians were only afraid of aryans because they had better weapons which I think is one of the reasons they moved further south. Though aryans were good at some stuff, they were also afraid of the dravidian hyms, tantric mantras, black magic and curses which is why Aryans didn't follow dravidians the whole way. But after a while, I think there have been settlements and an exchange of knowledge between the two. Most of the Indian mythological/historical books though written by the aryans it is the knowledge of the dravidians. |
