@edn13 You didn't have to post a different answer, you could have just edited your original answer. I've added the link to your source here, please delete the other answer.

comment Which came first, the shield or the sword?
"The sword is an invention of the bronze age" Highly depends on your definition of sword. If it includes daggers, then it's most definitely a much earlier invention.

revised Is there a definition of history separate from the definition of politics?
fixed minor spelling, removed random capitalization and excessive bolding.

comment Is there a definition of history separate from the definition of politics?
I don't think this is a Meta question, perhaps capitalizing History and Politics confused the close voter in thinking that the question is about the Stack Exchange sites, instead of the actual topics.

Can you provide at least a couple of examples of historical inaccuracies in the serial? We prefer answers that expose facts, not mere opinions.

comment What are the cultural roots of the Lamp of the Genie?
Sure, but still there are no Arabic sources documenting the myth (or variations of) before Galland did. If Aladdin was an Arabic myth, it certainly wasn't popular enough.

This is quite an interesting question, however Aladdin was only added to the thousand and one nights collection in the 18th century, by a Frenchman, and there are no known prior Arabic sources for the story.

comment Dictators who came back through elections?
Didn't downvote, but I don't think Yanukovych qualified as a dictator in 2005 (however fraudulent that election was).

Reformatting for clarity, merge two questions into one.
