comment What was the lena River Delta U-boat base in the Soviet Arctic used for?
Was there any base at all? Sounds like a question for skeptics. Google search didn't bring anything other than unconfirmed theories published in local newspapers.

comment Has the strength of the historical-archaeological method ever been tested experimentally?
@pew Subtitles are deceiving, especially in online articles :). But it's reasoning that matters. To quote from article: While there is uncertainty as to precisely how the Egyptians built the Great Pyramid, there is certainty about the fact that it was done.

@pew I'm not sure I follow. As far as I can tell (I just skimmed an article) authors claim that it is possible to build the Great Pyramid of Giza in 10 years with 13200 men using modern project management and ancient technologies. Sorry, I couldn't find any far-reaching conclusions on how pyramid was actually built by ancient Egyptians.

Historians routinely draw quite far-reaching conclusions Would you mind to give us an example of far-reaching conlusion in archaeological research? Regarding experiment, how can we measure success and failure in such an experiment?

comment Which nations have armed prisoners and sent them to war?
@Michael, well, I just pointed to the document that guarantees amnesty for wounded soldiers. I've never heard anything about "10 dangerous missions". Would you be so kind to provide references for this part?

comment Stalin cultivated a “Friend of the Children” image: Why? Did other communist/socialist leaders do the same?
I believe this question is offtopic because it requests to link absolutely separate concepts. It's pretty much equivalent to: Hitler was vegan and had obnoxious mustache. What was the reason for this? What other dictators cultivated such a combo?

comment What is the historical evidence behind the claim that the Soviet armies perpetrated mass rapes during their stay in Germany?
Question is not about numeric estimates, it's just about evidence. Number of war rapes (be it Red Army soldiers in Poland/Germany, Nazi soldiers in Poland/USSR, US soldiers in Germany/France/Japan) is hard to estimate due to many different factors (e.g., women's silence). -1 specifically for the 1st paragraph, which is just irrelevant. I'll reverse if the answer improves.

Serbia was a part of FRY. I've put Croatia for consistency.

While the first part is perfectly answerable, "otherwise..." part looks subjective and offtopic here.

Wikipedia article on British Agricultural Revolution presents a table relevant to the second part of your question (in bushels per acre, though)
