comment Why is such big density of churches in medieval towns?
+1 Another observation --why so many temples in Indian cities? May be it has all to do with the economics of it. Temples in India attract a lot of donation from people. There is significant money there. Perhaps the same holds true for churches as well?

comment Who invented the first flag?
-1 India 5000 years ago didn't even have the vedic civilization (of which the Mahabharata is a product).

+1. Good research and thought process. -1. No perspective for history. Net 0. Sorry.

I agree with @T.E.D.. The op is not asking for a list. She/he is just asking if it has happened before. I think it is a very valid (though trivial) question.

comment Why was the water in roman fountains cold?
Even though this question has more to do with physics than history I still never realised that yes the water, from the aqueducts, would have felt cold to most humans. +1.

comment Which nation on Earth has been under foreign rule the longest?
@Abhilash It sounds tempting but unless viewed neutrally it is very hard to define "foreign" and "national".

+1 Ngrams make it conclusive that the speech is a forgery IMHO.

comment How did Muslim traders raise investments given Islam's prohibition of usury?
It sounds very logical but the question is how "did" they, not how "can" they. That is why we need sources. The theory is very reasonable though.
