Hello world,
My name is not Monster Truck II and I was not born in 1920. But here is something about me that I feel comfortable sharing. I studied physics and computer science at college and enjoy reading (history, politics, and economics) and listening to music.
Here is my bookshelf:

What are legitimate methods and sources? @Carlo_R. I disagree. I think meta should be for discussions about the site itself. |

Did the pope try to suppress the number zero? This should be posted on skeptics. |

Did the Eastern Roman Empire materially contribute to the fall of the Western Roman Empire? @Sally I did try to find it but sadly no. In fact, most reliable history sources that I have found in my experience are almost always in papers (if not stone!). Edward Gibbon (negative bias), Judith Herrin (romantic bias), and Will Durrant (Caesar and Christ; quite outdated), all three allude to this phenomenon. |

Did the Eastern Roman Empire materially contribute to the fall of the Western Roman Empire? Actually, Judith Herrin writes about Eastern Emperors using skilled diplomacy to route invaders to the west. |

What was the legal framework in Ancient and Medieval India? I have up voted your answer but I am still looking for more info so I will not mark this as "Accepted". Specifically, what happened around the Medieval period when Northern India entered its Islamic phase? |

Why didn't the Arab states industrialize? @T.E.D. On target. Yes, that's what I was looking for. |

Why didn't the Arab states industrialize? Someone somewhere on this site once remarked that one not ask why did country X not industrialise but rather why did Europe industrialise. Cannot find a link to that comment though. |

What was the legal framework in Ancient and Medieval India? How was justice delivered/ensured? Say I had a dispute over land ownership did I go to a city official? |

Qin's use of the number six Mr. Keay and I conversed this weekend and together concluded that cun is the right answer. Will explain more in a separate answer as the way we concluded is important but I think you deserve the credit for the correct answer. |
