Why is Dravidian history ignored? @Jayaram : The rabid reactions here are not conducive to any constructive arguments. Couple that with the fact that we (most of us at least) are not academicians, it is not easy to have all the scholarly material at one's fingertips. However, that cannot be the reason that opinions differing from the currently prevalent/the majority be shot down with strong language and indirect accusations of jingoistic nationalism. |

What are the most comprehensive historical references for ancient India? @E1Suave : Yes :) But from some comments, looks like the clarification was not enough. |

What are the latest publications demolishing the Aryan invasion/migration theory? Yes, there are extremists on both sides. Let's hope the facts come out in the end. |

What are the latest publications demolishing the Aryan invasion/migration theory? Contd...I would like to add, however, that I'm viewing this not just from a purely historical perspective, but also keeping in mind recent (and not so recent) works on allegations of Eurocentrism in historical writing, and hence the interest in the so-called Hindu-nationalist writers. Here's a balanced Preface from a book on the subject edited by the same Bryant you cite from Wiki - bit.ly/IyqwIf (See Introduction by Laurie L. Patton) |

What are the latest publications demolishing the Aryan invasion/migration theory? I'm not trying to "picture" any specific scenario here. I'm not a professional historian. Yes, I am Indian and trying to find the current state of research on this.Going by the responses I usually receive depending on which "camp" the responder is supposed to be in, it's pretty difficult to determine the actual state of affairs. Contd... |

What are the latest publications demolishing the Aryan invasion/migration theory? @Anixx Clarifying the last point - I would not consider "migration" as a demolish, in light of recent evidence, hence the reason for including it in the question title with "invasion". |

What are the latest publications demolishing the Aryan invasion/migration theory? @Anixx : "Aryan invasion theory" is widely understood to mean an "invasive, destructive" movement of people into India through its NorthWestern corridor from Central Asia, and that's the definition I go by. Aryan "migration" is another, more recent version of the theory, but it starts from the same assumptions. As for demolish, I am referring to "demolish"ing the theory itself (it's not related to diffusion or migration) |

What can be considered to be the single most important reason for the decline of muslim Golden Age? Your question is broad and ambiguous in terms of "powerful empire". There were multiple Islamic empires during the period you speak of. |

Were there ever any documented cases about people with superior abilities? It's my opinion, but I feel that questions such as these tend to trivialize this site. |

Were there ever any documented cases about people with superior abilities? Sure, there are "records in the past". For example, Homer's Illiad and the Mahabharata :) |

Why is Dravidian history ignored? @Anixx I asked for "research", which means citing publicly available papers, not your opinion. |

Why is Dravidian history ignored? @Anixx I can see that this subject raises passions. I don't claim to be an expert, so maybe you can point out the relevant researches that you cite? |
