Why was Iceland not a part of the Danish-Swedish deal in Kiel in 1814? So basically Sweden didn't 'want' the western facing islands? Or rather, Denmark argued so well that it just didn't have to give it up? |

When did steel first appear? @RobertCartaino But then nobody is going to write their master thesis on this site either... It is a QnA site after all; so while I agree that copy/paste from Wikipedia is not really that useful, most (if not all) answers will be copied/cited from other sources. The point of the site will then be to be easier to get at multiple sources. Some questions will have different answers in different sources, so perhaps we can 'weed out' the bad sources together. |

Why did Hitler declare war on the USA? When you say "... the USA actually wanted..." you mean; Roosevelt really wanted to get involved? Several Senators were opposed to the war up until the Pearl Harbor attack. Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt#Policies |
