Aug 14, 2023 at 15:33 comment added WS2 Hitler certainly believed in Schicksal (fate, or destiny) as responsible for his having been born on the border of Austria and Germany (Mein Kampf ch 1.). And its fulfiment in his mind would be in his becoming the agency through which the two great German nations would become one. But I was not aware that his vanity extended so far as to consider himself personally divine. Where did that idea come from?
