I would probably date your event to no earlier than the imperial decree against Arianism in 523, for which see the Wikipedia pages on Pope John I and on the Emperor Justin. But more likely you want the date of Theodoric's reaction to John's failure to get Justin to reverse the decree, which would give you a date between 524 and 526. | |
