I seem to find myself very interested in this topic but I can't seem to find anywhere the impact of Baroque and Renaissance art politically, socially and economically. So I guess my real question from this is did Baroque or Renaissance art affect any of these factors in one way or another during it's time?

I'd imagine that there would be some difficulty in isolating the impact of art from the broader intellectual 'explosion' that occurred in the Renaissance. It would be helpful if you included some information on what you already know about the subject. – Steve Bird Mar 13 '17 at 13:23

Usually the info I see is the other way around, with the art reflecting the social and political changes of the time (e.g., the Baroque being linked to Counterreform and an attempt to build more ornate churches). – SJuan76 Mar 13 '17 at 16:29
