What were the differences of the Law of the Roman Empire under the rule of Justinian I(with his Corpus Juris Civilis and the rest of his Legal Order) and under the rule of Basil II?

I am interested in the principles and the basic Rules(basic Laws, Rights, Duties, Responsibilities). I am most interested in Administrative Law but as a second interest Civil law and Criminal/Penal as the last.

May I please request that a Roman-Law tag is created and added to this question?

This question came from our site for legal professionals, students, and others with experience or interest in law.

  • I presume that you're meaning my own comment, which was deleted when I raise a flag to mop up the existing discussion. It was a prompt for you to pencil in your current research in general, and to explain how the wiki entry on the Justinian Code doesn't answer your question in particular. – Denis de Bernardy Oct 18 at 2:34
