Amateurs are interested in tactics, pros are concerned about logistics.

I haven't mentioned this before, but Hitler dreamed of France and Britain joining hands with him to defeat the Soviets. He kinda hoped that America would be with him as well. However, the opposite occurred. In Hitler's scenario, he hoped that America would just hop into bed along with the French and the British. His dreams would be shattered after he declared war against America in 1941.

Hitler would have used his Waffen SS against the elite American forces (Marines and Rangers Corp.) and Tiger tanks to penetrate defenses (and also hope to defeat Patton's division). Also, if Hitler were to invade the U.S., D-Day would have failed (Market Garden has already failed).
Oct 8, 2015 at 2:54 | comment | added | 关一骏 | Oh, well, from some of the views of historians (I watched History Channel and videos on Youtube), If Hitler invaded Britain and actually succeeded, he would have cooperated with the Italians and Japanese to invade the U.S. This also accounts for the defeat of Soviet Union and U.S. Navy and Army in Pacific (especially the success of invading Midway and Pearl Harbor -- this didn't really happen though.). In addition, Hilter would have invaded from New York or Maine (Italy from Canada) and Japan would have attacked from Alaska and California. @Nerrolken

He (and his staff) had plans, and they were usually very detailed and thorough. It's pretty clear that Germany couldn't have invaded and occupied the entirety of the United States, it's simply to large and far away. My question is, how DID he plan to beat them? Did he hope to demoralize and frustrate them into peace? Did he have plans for extensive long-range bombing? Were there economic projections that the US wouldn't be able to afford a long war? In Hitler's dream scenario, why did the US lose WWII?

He dreamed on taking over the world due to the fact that he wanted revenge against the Allied countries for treating Germany "horribly" after WWI.
Oct 6, 2015 at 21:50 | comment | added | 关一骏 | @MarkC.Wallace This is common information any person with knowledge of WWII should have. In addition, this information can quickly be found on history websites such as history.com, etc.
Oct 6, 2015 at 13:21 | comment | added | Nerrolken | There are more ways to defeat an enemy, beyond invasion. If Hitler didn't have a plan to invade, what DID he plan on doing?
