Apr 29, 2019 at 7:06 comment added JonathanReez Actually, the poorer Romania is, the easier it is for Moldova to join. Unifying countries with a similar economy is a lot easier than two countries with vastly different levels of development. GDR being rich made integration harder, not easier.
