If the castle had accommodations or not, it might be; else outside the walls works. As to whether it was big enough for a family of 3-4, you're off in your estimate. Think more like 6-12. And at the time houses seldom had more than a room or two, with everyone sleeping in one or two beds (read: haystacks). | |
